THIS IS UNFORTUNATELY BEING RE-ADVERTISED.I SOLD IT TO A GUY IN FEBRUARY BUT HE DIDN'T GET THE HANG OF THE BIT WHERE HE HAD TO PAY FOR IT. SO IT HASN'T LEFT HOME AND HAS SCANNED A FEW NEGATIVES SINCE THAT TIME.
I used this scanner to transfer to digital several dozen slides and colour and black and white negatives. It did a good job. I found the software took a bit of getting used to and ended up dealing with saturation and the odd dust spot in Photoshop Elements.
One minor (and it is a minor operational problem) is a small break on one “leg” of the mounted slide holder. As it seems with all slide holders, they require a delicate hand and this small break does not affect the operation of the holder in the scanner. The holders, when loaded, pop back into place and work well.
NB> The white markings on the slide holders are tippex marks as guides to loading the holders in lowish light.
Comes c/w:
USB 2 cable. Mains adapter. Manual. Software and drivers disc. 35mm strip and mounted slide holders. APS adaptors were optional extras and can possibly be found on ebay.
I’ve now moved on to scanning some of my Medium Format images. What can I say? Times change. Thanks for looking and the very best of luck.
